There are many organizations that support local veterans and their families. The Navy League has an expansive agenda that supports active and retired programs while highlighting the importance of mastery of the seas and the latest assets available to our fleets. You might be surprised to know that in addition to the Coast Guard buoy tender, there are now 5 Coast Guard cutters that are home-ported at NAS Pensacola. That is a huge Coast Guard presence that is permanently based in the Pensacola area and the Navy League was involved all along the way.
